Music concerts  have boomed with the onset of the winter season and their market has warmed up, but this market is facing continued increases in ticket prices, especially in the pop genre; in some cases, ticket prices have reached 1.8 million tomans.

According to Hamshahri Online, a group of artists and music groups in various genres of pop, Iranian classical, traditional, orchestral, regional, and fusion have prepared various concerts in Tehran and some cities of the country at the beginning of the winter season, but this is while the ticket prices for music concerts, especially pop, have increased compared to the fall season.

 

The price of tickets for pop music concerts in the fall reached a maximum of 1 million 100 thousand tomans and in other cities of the country it reached a maximum of 850 thousand tomans. This is in a situation where in January the minimum price of music concert tickets in Tehran was 150 thousand tomans and the maximum was 1 million 800 thousand tomans, and this number in other cities of the country varies from 100 to 965 thousand tomans and increases with the inclusion of 10 percent value added.

The price of a concert ticket is a function of infrastructure variables such as venue rental and ancillary costs, venue equipment, etc. Venue rental has also multiplied due to inflation, and due to the increase in the value of the dollar and euro, ancillary costs have also increased proportionally, which also affects ticket prices.

However, music concerts in January are accompanied by special events and occasions. The "Voice of the Desert" music group for women, led and sung by Elham Karimi, took to the stage at the Niavaran Cultural Center to perform happy and authentic Khorasani pieces on the occasion of Women's Day on January 2, and other concerts for women are scheduled to be held in the coming days.

Pop singers Hamed Homayoun, Amir Azimi, and Mehdi Yaghmaei, and rock singer Kaveh Afagh, will also take to the stage after a long time, in January of this year.

The "Saturdays of Instrumentation and Wisdom" event is also scheduled to be held. The description of the event states: "Saturdays of Instrumentation and Wisdom" strives to provide a deep and conscious experience of music, focusing on strengthening the audience's auditory wisdom. On the first night of this weekly event, the "ISO" Orchestra, conducted by Maziar Younesi, will perform Arnold Schoenberg's "Transfiguring Night." What distinguishes this experience is the conductor's pre-performance speech with the orchestra's performance of auditory examples that familiarize the audience with Schoenberg's thoughts and his influence on music. This approach provides an opportunity for a more conscious encounter and a more purposeful perception of the work and will help cultivate the audience's auditory wisdom.
